Radial Shock Wave Therapy

The Swiss Dolclast Method® is a well researched evidence based system that uses Radial Shockwave Therapy (RSWT).
Shock waves are passed through the skin using our Swiss Dolorclast® Shockwave Unit to the injured part of the body to affect the area directly which initaites, immediate pain relief and long term pyhsyiological changes to the target tissues.

The shockwaves are mechanically generated. They are audible, low energy sound waves, which work by increasing blood flow to the injured area. This initiates an inflammation-like response in the injured tissue, accelerating the body’s healing process by increasing cell generation and dissolving calcium deposits.

The Swiss DolorClast® Method uses single acoustic pressure waves to treat musculoskeletal and dermatological pathologies. It offers and combines two technologies – the propagation of radial and/or focused shock waves – to optimise treatment results.

Some of the conditions that shockwave is successful in treating;

  • Tendonitis
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Lower back pain
  • Trigger points
  • Myofascial pain syndrome
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Golfers Elbow
  • Osgood Schlatter disease
  • Knee pain
  • Hip pain
  • Ankle pain
